9 Simple Jobs For Teens To Earn Christmas Shopping Money

PARENTS YOU MIGHT BE GOING THROUGH THIS SITUATION RIGHT NOW WITH YOUR TEEN.   You’re almost done your Christmas shopping when your teen comes to you and mentions that her friends decided to have a Christmas gift exchange. There is only one problem, she has no money. It’s easy to say no you can’t shop because you have no money but that doesn’t solve the problem because no alternatives were offered for your teen to earn money. What do you do? One of my CBB fans is going through this problem with her teen and needs parenting advice. Christmas shopping is fun for just about anyone who plans on giving during the holidays whether gifts are bought online, the mall, downtown shops, small business owners or even at bazaars and craft shows. For some Christmas has turned into a huge consumer money grabbing spree but for the kids it will always be something they look forward to. Not all children participate in Christmas as it depends on the parents but for those that do your child at some point will want to buy their own gifts. Once your teen understands that giving is more important than receiving you may find […]

PF Friday Grab a Brew #50: Do you get a Christmas bonus or rely on a budget?

NEVER EXPECT ANYTHING NOR THINK IT WILL LAST FOREVER   Christmas bonuses for many people are a thing of the past as organizations struggle to keep afloat but many still do spread holiday cheer with their employees even if it is just by giving them a turkey or Christmas card. If you are an employer and are wondering what to get employees for Christmas I’d say that you know your employees best and the only way to retain good people is to make them feel like they are part of the team and acknowledging their hard work. When the holidays roll around as an employer you should at the least recognize your employees but it’s up […]

YOU REMEMBER MEMORIES NOT CHRISTMAS GIFTS   Setting a Christmas budget when it comes to buying for the kids can be simple on paper but when it comes to shopping if you don’t stick to the list you can easily blow that budget. Some kids can create a wish list that is so long and off the charts sometimes you wonder if you are doing the right thing buying them everything they want or desire or stick to a plan like CBB writer Katrina outlines below. Some kids simply need to learn that gifts are not what Christmas is all about. Sitting with your children to explain about how some children around the world don’t even get food on their plates let alone gifts under the Christmas tree. You might even combat double duty with alleviating food waste and having your children think twice about not eating everything that is on their plate.   Creating a Christmas list   My best friend was able to find and print a free printable Christmas wish list for his daughter to get started thinking about what she would like to un-wrap Christmas morning. Your child might be of the creative type so you […]
