Crazy Notions About Being Young And Living Debt Free : The Saturday Weekend Review #221

IF YOU GET EXCITED ABOUT WHAT SOMEONE ELSE HAS DONE ASK THEM IF THEY WILL TEACH YOU TO DO THE SAME.   There was a time in my life where I would come down on myself hard because I was sick and tired of not being able to live the dream. Whatever that meant back then I can’t tell you but I know today that it means living debt free. If one of my mates had rich parents I would be jealous about it and wished I was that lucky. There was lots of wishing going on and not much doing. Once I had my first job earning money that’s all it took because I never looked back, only to say I’m sorry for judging you in my own little way. I wanted all the riches back when I was a boy but as I became older and lived through many financial experiences that super-charged my mindset. I’m finally at a happy place in my life where money doesn’t matter so much. It’s just nice to have and money stress is gone for the most part. I don’t go to work for the money, I go because I love it. […]

Parents downsize to $400,000 small house and kids are embarrassed

LIFESTYLE CHANGE IS NOT EASY   Downsizing to a small home can be a struggle from finding the right home to selling what you no longer need.  You might also find there is opposition from others that live in the house about moving to a not as “posh” area as we will learn today from one couple. Downsizing is an interchangeable word where it can be to sell a large home to buy a smaller one or simply to get rid of something or stuff that you no longer need. My parents did just that but it was after I moved to Canada. They were living in a 3 bedroom home in the UK and once my parents were near retirement they decided to rent out the home, downsize and buy a caravan. The caravan is custom trailer that looks just like a home on the inside with all the amenities minus all the maintenance. There is a bit of work to do but not near as much as my parents had in the past. My mum and dad took all the belongings they didn’t need any longer and sold them at a car boot sale (a.k.a garage sale). The […]

PF Weekly grab a brew #32: Catch me if you can

I’m A Qualified Professional Now Open Wide Catch me if you can, another Frank Abagnale Jr was on the loose and he was just showing Canada how easy it is to be whoever we want to be. Ya, that was a true story that film and why not, if people can get away with something they will do it. Geesh, I don’t think that was what the motivational aspect behind the sayings ‘be all you can be’ or ‘you can do whatever you want if you put your mind to it’ was meant for. Caught you I was a little more than shocked when I read about an underground dentist who goes under the name of Dr. David Wu (not his real name) in B.C who has provided dentistry services to patients in an apartment for many years. This guy has NO, and I repeat NO training as a dentist, whatsoever in Canada. That means that no dentistry schools in Canada have ever seen this guy let alone have them in their data base as a medical professional. Seriously, if you are gripping the bottom of your seat I know what you’re going through. It’s bad enough when I have […]
