Change Your Life With The Perfect Pair Of Shoes : The Saturday Weekend Review #223

LIFE-CHANGING EVENTS HAVE THE POWER TO TAKE AWAY YOUR DREAMS OR OFFER OPPORTUNITY.   I’m not selling shoes or even marketing them in this blog post. No. I’m sharing with you how important it is for you to pick the perfect pair of shoes, toughen up and find the riches that you dream of. This is a story about two sisters 10 years apart and on two different financial journeys. It’s tough for siblings to sit back and watch each other grow up because they venture in different directions for school, career and love. What’s even harder is being successful and then watching family members suffer financially. It’s hard to be happy but we know that in order to change your life you have to accept failure, learn from it and move on. How many pairs of shoes do you own and wear? Financial Independence may only exist once we get there

A World Where Anything Is Possible I won’t lie and say that I have never thought about what financial independence in my life would be like, because I have. Not everyone allows their mind to wander into the future or an imaginary place where dreams can come true, or at least if for only that moment they are. A dreamer I am, that is me, yes, especially with the odds of winning with my eyes open, back on planet earth. As I silently engage your thoughts with mine and walk you through my journey […]

For many of us, myself included, the temptation to stay in bed and enjoy the comforts of sleep and warm blankets is easy to do. It’s simple to enjoy the moment, to be still and content. I’m pretty sure that even those with uncomfortable beds or lumpy pillows enjoy these lazy moments and would rather stay in bed than confront the inertia of the day. Similarly, for many people, it’s easy and comforting to go to the same job every day, to know what to expect, and to go with the flow. Even when they are not happy with their career or their co-workers, it’s easier to stick with what is familiar. Change is scary. For me, the fluffy pillow was the four weeks of vacation I received each year. The warm, cozy bed was the defined benefit pension that I could expect to receive at the end of the road. The relaxing state of wakefulness that we experience in the morning was the comforting knowledge that each day, I would do similar tasks with the same people and collect my salary twice a month. But […]
