Cherry Cheesecake

HOMEMADE CHEESECAKE RECIPE YOU CAN’T RESIST   I promise that if you love cheesecake this will be the last homemade cheesecake recipe you will ever search for. It’s the ultimate creamy cherry cheesecake that everyone will be talking about at your next dinner party. Don’t let the decadent cheesecake scare you away from making it homemade because it didn’t scare me. I watch the food network, family members in the kitchen, read recipes and make mistakes and that’s how I learn to cook and bake. You only fear what you think you can’t do, so try it. Making a cheesecake is very simple to do but like anything takes time and by trial and error you will find what works best for you like I have over the years. Cheesecake has long been a favorite in many homes around the world and if you don’t make homemade cheesecake you know that if you were to go to a bakery you will be paying quite a bit of money for a simple cheesecake.   Store-bought cheesecake   I believe the last cherry cheesecake that I purchased was with my best friend since he’s a big fan of cherry cheesecake (nope he’s […]

Lemon Citrus Syrup Yoghurt Cake

A YOGHURT DESSERT YOU EAT WITH A FORK   I know what you are thinking it’s not yoghurt….. but wait it is. Yogurt, Yoghurt and Yoghourt are all proper spellings of the delicious fermented creamy treat we all have grown to love. Last Saturday was a girlie night and the five of us had decided that we would have a pot-luck supper. I really do enjoy meeting up with the girls just good to have a chat, relax and eat good homemade food. I decided to make them my food creation guinea pigs and to try a few different tastes and flavors while we were all together. I had lemons and some natural Greek yoghurt in the fridge that really needed to be used up and some eggs. Many people use yoghurt in all sorts of recipes so a Greek Yoghurt cake paired with lemon citrus was what popped into my head. At the very least I knew that with […]

Greek yogurt stuffed cherry berry smoothie

Healthy Smoothie Recipe With A Burst Of Fruit    I know what you are thinking, who stuffs a smoothie with Greek yogurt? I know because I had the same thought, until I tried it. Smoothies are a great way to cool down in the summer time whether you are with friends or simply enjoying a nice afternoon by yourself. Typically my smoothie is made up of fruits and sometimes vegetables but today I’ve used raspberries from the garden, organic cherries and bananas to bring this cherry berry smoothie creation to life. I wanted a healthy smoothie recipe that I could use the flax seeds that we got for free with the scanning code of practice (thanks Zehrs) since that is originally why we went looking for it. Our friends add the healthy flax to their breakfast smoothies to create a flax smoothie with cucumbers, kale and yogurt (no I’ve never tried that before). You don’t even taste the flax, in fact I added flax to my chickpea coconut chocolate chip cookies as well and we had no idea it was in there. Frozen fruit smoothie I often serve a smoothie that I make with a straw and a spoon as […]
