Quick Tips For Buying Groceries Without A Vehicle: The Grocery Game Challenge 2018 #3 Jan 15-21

CHOOSE GROCERIES WISELY WHEN SHOPPING WITH LIMITED OR LITTLE TRANSPORTATION TO HELP SAVE YOU MONEY   When I was in University I didn’t have a supermarket near me which meant I had to get creative with buying groceries and stockpiling sales so I didn’t go without or even worse, run out. It’s not like I wouldn’t have been without food since there were and still are take-away shops in just about every village in the UK. Being a frugal guy all my life it was rare you’d catch me eating out when I could make it at home for less. I would and still do get more enjoyment out of creating delicious meals at home then heading to a restaurant. My idea of eating out would be a restaurant or street vendor selling food that I’d have no idea how to cook, won’t cook or foods I’ve never tried before. Many people who do go out to eat get the same boring food that’s relatively easy to make. That’s not really why a majority of people eat out anyways, it’s the convenience. 15 Valuable Grocery Store Services For Customer Retention: The Grocery Game Challenge 2016 #2 Oct 10-16

SECRETLY WE ALL HAVE OUR FAVOURITE GROCERY STORE THAT CATERS TO OUR NEEDS.   Have you ever asked yourself why you seem to frequent a grocery store over the others in the city or town that you live in? Think about this for a second and ask yourself what grocery store services are offered where you shop that keep you going back week after week. Maybe it’s not grocery store services, rather proximity and even then there are services that you’d miss if the grocery store took them away. Every one of us are different with different needs when we grocery shop. Some of us might care about certain grocery store services where the next customer could care less because there is no impact. It’s not a big deal to me to see a lottery booth at the grocery store because I don’t buy lottery tickets any longer. For a weekly lottery player this is one of those grocery store services that helps them save time and is convenient. My wife remembers when she would go grocery shopping with her grandmother that her grandfather would check his tickets and run his numbers for the next draw while she shopped. You […]

PF Weekly grab a brew #40: Are we dependent on the internet?

Being Lazy Could Be The New Convenience    I was reading Yahoo this morning about Amazon Fresh and how they could trickle into Canada with online grocery shopping and delivery like they do in the USA and that giant grocers should be worried because their fixed costs are high and any decrease in traffic could send some retailers out of business. I can completely understand how that would happen because grocers rely on customers to get in their car, walk, take the bus, scooter, motorcycle or any other means of transportation to visit their store each week to check off the items on their grocery list and spend their hard-earned money in their stores. It’s at that time when a customer walks through the door that the retailer has the power of marketing at their finger tips. They hope to reel you in with low-priced specials and load you up with high-priced products that might not have been on your list but you easily were manipulated by sight or even smell to add that extra cost to your grocery budget for that shopping trip. If such a service like Amazon Fresh delivery is brought in there will be the […]
