I’ve never quite seen so many of my colleagues go mad for eating a finger before but I guess it’s an inside joke considering the line of work we are in. One of our most popular Halloween recipes on the blog are Spooky Witches Fingers which are super easy to make and inexpensive. They taste very similar to a buttery shortbread cookie with a hint of almond flavour. Delicious for dunking too. With Halloween days away we are planning on baking some Halloween treats for the kids in our neighbourhood who come by the house-and the adults too of course. GIVING THANKS SHOULD BE THE EASIEST PART OF YOUR DAY   The second Monday in October every year is Thanksgiving Day where we give thanks and appreciation for all the good in our lives. This is one time of year where I explore my life and how thankful I am for all the wonderful things I’ve been given the opportunity to experience. The birth of our son just two years ago was the biggest blessing of all for my wife and I and there isn’t a day that goes by that we aren’t thankful that he’s in our life. We’re also thankful that we’ve managed to almost hit the 10 year anniversary mark this year without getting divorced which is so common these days and I can understand why. Parenting is tough stuff and can be very overwhelming for any couple.
