Happiness Has Become My New Rich : Net Worth Update June-Aug 2017 (+0.43%)

BE THAT ONE PERSON WHO PUTS HAPPINESS FIRST AND YOU WILL FIND THE GOLD YOU TRULY SEEK.   The richest man or woman is the one who believes that happiness comes before money. In a sea of unhappiness because of job loss, minimum wage, health and all things related to money be that ONE person who puts happiness first. I knew the time would come where I’d have to write a post like this and tell everyone, we spent a large amount of money. Don’t worry I’m not crying over financial loss rather I’m jumping for joy because I understand more than ever what happiness is. I talk to many people daily while networking on social media many of which are not rich in numbers but seem to be content. They don’t have everything they’d like to have but they get by and still manage to have a laugh and create fun instead of buying it. You don’t have to sail around the world to be happy, only YOU can do that. Money doesn’t buy happiness, bla, bla, bla. I know you’ve heard that and it is the single most smartest thing I can agree on in personal finance. My […]

I want to be more successful than my father: PF Weekly grab a brew #63

ALL YOU HAVE TO DO IS BELIEVE   Sometimes we want to be more successful than others especially if we come from homes where our parents aren’t successful in our eyes. But what does successful really mean? Defining what successful means or even being rich means is an inner belief that will differ from person to person.   Life lessons   When you go to school as a child and see other kids with the latest and greatest toys, gadgets and clothes or boasting about their vacations you wonder why you aren’t either. As a child shopping at second-hand stores when your friends shop at the mall is hard but for many they have no choice. Eventually they will understand that the reason and unless they understand the value of money you may run into resentment. Not all children will turn away on their parents but for the most part if they don’t grasp that you don’t have to spend money to be happy they may try to correlate money with happiness. It’s hard to understand the meaning behind being successful and how hard it is to make something of yourself as an adult or as a parent. I watched […]

Happiness Is everything: Saving Money, Buying Time

By: Katrina Keeping Life Simple Makes Life Easier Keeping in theme with Mr. CBB’s post this week ‘Money isn’t everything, happiness is‘ relationships and love I decided to share a bit about my day-to-day life. You all know how hectic and busy my life is but now I want to share with you how I am making more time for things that make me happy and saving money at the same time. I’m a mom on the go so working, caring for your children and a house can be overwhelming and challenging. I strive to find the proper balance between them all. I love my job, wish I could spend more time with the kids and less time cleaning and organizing our house. What is worth your time? How often do you say I just need a few more minutes or a couple more hours in a day? What could you eliminate from your life or reduce the amount doing in your day to find that time? I want more time to do things like work on my son’s writing and my daughter’s drawing and spend less time doing housework. Mr.CBB’s to-do list has been great in helping me get some of the bigger projects […]

Money isn’t everything happiness is

You Can’t Expect Money To Buy It All Money isn’t everything happiness is and to some people having money in the bank means you must be rich or you have a good job. That is far from the truth but only those who can see past what others have then they too can focus on creating a life for themselves that makes sense to them. This week has been all about relationships and money and to be honest it’s a topic I enjoy because the struggles that many people go through when it comes to money and personal life need to be heard. There are things money can buy and things it can’t such as love, respect, happiness and likely a whole host of things that many people take for granted because money is involved. Is it better to be rich and miserable or poor and miserable? I guess only you can answer that question. How many times have we heard of famous actors and musicians committing suicide and they have all the money in the world? Money sure is powerful but is it powerful enough to take away the passion for life that is deep inside your heart? Money is […]
