Swirled Nutella Banana Bread

THE SECRET TO MY POPULAR MOIST BANANA BREAD IS REVEALED TODAY. BE CAREFUL WHAT YOU DO WITH THIS SWEET INFORMATION.   In a perfect Nutella world we’d all love Nutella but for now you either love it or you hate it. I’m going to Nutella bomb your kitchen today with a Nutella banana bread recipe like you’ve never tasted before. Creating recipes with Nutella seems pretty easy and it is because chocolate practically goes with everything, especially bananas. I may be biased but this is one of the best and moist Swirled Nutella Banana Bread recipes that has a bit of ooey-gooey at the top. I promise you’ll either be licking your lips or your fingers when no one is looking or grabbing another piece to mask those sticky fingers.   Breakfast Nutella   All you need is a spoon…and maybe a slice of bread. Nutella has gotten a bad rap after consumer complaints about their nutritious breakfast advertising over the years but production is still going strong. Someone has to be buying it! This is chocolate folks and probably not the best breakfast but heck, everyone needs a little chocolate boost in the mornings some times. Years ago when […]

Simple Italian Tomato Salad…Buono!

YOU CAN’T RUSH A DELICATE TOMATO SALAD TO THE DINNER TABLE   Italian tomato salad with fresh basil is a summer must-have dish for any BBQ party. You’ll have an empty dish to take home and your guests will rave about how amazing the flavours were in your tomato salad and want the simple recipe. If you’re looking for a salad alternative besides greens this simple Italian tomato salad will do the trick every time. Both my wife and I live for this salad every summer which is one of the reasons we grow so much basil in our planters. Related: Too Much Basil?- Basil Pesto Cubes Nothing beats the fresh flavours of minced garlic, fresh basil and organic tomatoes. You can 100% taste the difference when you bite into a juicy organic tomato rather than the over-grown, tasteless tomatoes you can buy at the grocery store. Even though they have organic options we both gravitate towards the home gardener who has an abundance of tomatoes like her father. Every year he plants about 100 tomato plants and thousands of organic garlic bulbs for the family. It’s a fun hobby for him since he’s retired and we all get to […]

Eggplant Meatballs

A TASTE OF ITALY   If you are Italian your parents may have or still do make Eggplant Meatballs also known as “Polpette di Melanzane) which are delicious on their own or dipped in a marinara sauce. Today I’m sharing my version of this classic Italian recipe but I actually have meat in my eggplant meatballs. If you don’t fancy the meat in my version don’t run away just yet as you can simply eliminate it. Combine all the other ingredients the same way adding breadcrumbs as needed until the mix comes together. If you eliminate the mince pork and beef you’ve made the Italian Polpette di Melanzane which is a great vegetarian dish. We were given eggplants from my wife’s parents who tend to have legions every gardening season because my father-in-law who is retired loves to grow just about anything in abundance. I think eggplant must grow like weeds because we end up with quite a few in our summer box from them every year. In the past I’ve made cheesy eggplant lasagna which is amazing as well we enjoy eggplant parmigiano but I wanted to try something different. I considered making eggplant parmigiano pizza which I saw […]
