Dangers Of Role-Playing The Rich Life Without Financial Peace : The Saturday Weekend Review #213

WHEN THE CURTAINS CLOSE WHO WILL BE THERE TO SAVE YOU?   I’ve learned that there is no in-between for people when it comes to financial success and what one would consider money failure. Many people either consider themselves rich or poor and that’s what they base financial success on rather than being comfortable in the middle. I’m not going to get into a spiel (shocking I know) about how to save money or get out of debt because I’m sure by now you should know how-stop spending money. Instead I want to focus on financial peace and what it means to you. Have you ever thought about what would bring you financial peace in your life instead of stress? If yes, how are you working towards attaining financial peace? If no, stop trying to figure it all out or pretending you’re someone you’re not for the sake of playing the lead role in a movie about your life that doesn’t exist. Related: How to say No, I’m on a budget. Unanswered questions most often become swept behind and forgotten until it’s too late. Why is it so hard for someone to say, ‘I’m broke‘ or “I just don’t have […]

The Secret Society Of Knock-Off Rich People : Our October 2016 Family Budget Update

THE SHOW MUST GO ON EVEN IF YOU’RE BROKE   I’ve had enough of playing the role of rich person when I’m not and I just want to be normal. This was part of an email conversation I had with a fan who is struggling with guilt over his debt and underlying reasons for wanting to appear rich when he’s just part of a secret society of debt clogged consumers living in Canada. Pretending to be wealthy won’t make you wealthy, it makes you clumsy with your money which can and potentially will affect your present and future. If you truly believe that you can succeed by sloshing through crowds of affluent people with a line of credit or a slew of credit cards will help achieve your fortress then follow your dream.   Upscale performance of a life-time   The most expensive position you will ever have in your career is the one that you created that doesn’t exist. So you landed a role in the movie titled, “Upper Class” and you’re the star of the show. Is that a real Gucci Bag? Heck ya, I bought it when I was travelling in the UK. Lights, Camera, Action…you’re LIVE. […]

Rich People Don’t Care About Your Life When You’re Poor : The Saturday Weekend Review #194

THE THINGS YOU LEARN FROM PEOPLE YOU DON’T WANT TO LEARN FROM CAN BE DRAINING.   When you’re successful and rich everyone else around you is either rich, richer or poor. There is no in-between because life-style change if adopted can skew the mind even if rich people were once poor themselves. It’s easy to get caught up in the luxury of financial security and for some rich people their life revolves around becoming even richer. They didn’t get where they are without hard work unless of course the money was inherited. This is where the term the “Rich run with the Rich” comes from because what are poor people going to teach rich people who they don’t already know, right? Wrong. As I sit here typing this with a spoon deep in a jar of peanut butter I can’t help but remember what a gentleman said to me at the park on Thanksgiving Day,”Rich people don’t care about your life when you’re poor.” I couldn’t get the conversation I had with him out of my mind. I was out with the family on a lovely Autumn day on my day off  and we decided to bring our son to […]

Why financial advice from rich people makes sense

FIND YOUR MONEY SUCCESS   Rich people are all around us and I’m betting most of them worked pretty hard to get where they are. Not all rich people are shady investors or business people but let’s be honest, we know they exist. The truth is there are many successful people who achieved their goals because they put in the effort. Not everyone has a top-notch career or thriving business bloom out of sheer luck. When it comes to our own finances it may be soothing to talk to anyone who will listen, but learning about how to fix your money situation from the wrong people can slow down progress. If you find yourself in a financial mess why would you seek advice from people who are in the same money crisis as you? If they can’t even get their own finances in order taking financial advice from them may not be in your best interest. That’s the truth. It’s a serious matter that too often people push aside because they think they will never find their way out of debt when all it takes is a bit of homework and dedication.   Who are these rich people?   You […]

Are you rich just because you are debt free?

MONEY STILL HAS TO BE EARNED   Do you want to know how to be famous around people you know? Tell them you are debt free and have no mortgage to pay and you’ve just become the rich person you never knew you were. I know it’s crazy but it’s the way some minds run because they believe money makes the world go around. Not everyone thinks that way but I’m afraid there are people who do. They want to know how to be rich like they ‘think’ you are (even though you might not be) so they too can live a stress free life sipping margaritas on the beach in Hawaii. Life is not that simple though I’m afraid and one of the worst things you can do in my opinion is to go around and tell people you are debt free and have nothing to pay for except for every day bills. We only share that on the blog to show others what we have done in order to motivate others who want to become debt free but we don’t talk about it in our personal life to anyone. Telling anyone who will listen about your financial history […]
