Mr.CBB's Weekly Blog Post Picks

Another rainy week continues but the blog is still full of life bringing you the best of the best from around the web in Personal Finance and More.

Halloween was my third now in our home and carving the pumpkin seems to be getting easier for me.

I was rubbish the first year and would be ashamed to show anyone what I made of the pumpkin.

I will post a picture tomorrow when I post The Saturday Review and you can be the judge for my 2012 creation.

This week I must say I’ve done a great job reading the amount of blog posts that I wanted to read including commenting on them.

Some days are better than others but I enjoy keeping up with my favourite blogs and writers.

I believe the blogs that I follow and comment on are the one’s that will not only help me to learn but also those that my fans here at Canadian Budget Binder will appreciate.

I enjoy sharing your posts on my Facebook page so if you want me to share please come say Hi to the fans and introduce yourself so the fans can learn about your blog.

On that note below are all the goodies from the week that I have compiled for you. It’s like my adult Halloween Treat Bag for all of you. Enjoy!

This Friday blog post will include the following:

  • Blog Posts Picks– The Top Blog Posts that I have chosen that I think my fan base will relate to or I think are well written, inspirational or communicates knowledge that can be applied to my audience.
  • NEW!! Facebook Follow Friday– If you are a Personal Finance Blogger on Facebook please LIKE my page and SHARE my blog posts and You will be part of this list.
  • Twitter Peeps # PF To Check Out- I’ve had to limit this list as its grown exponentially to only those that Re-tweet or Share my Blog Posts on Twitter at least 2x per week to their followers.

    1. I read at work, on my breaks, in the morning at breakfast, with my tea, at night before bed.. whenever I can really. I try to comment on as many as I can a day but I get more reading in then commenting but I try to keep up. I don’t beat myself up if I can’t do it all, life’s not a race. Cheers Jason!!! P.S the list will start to get smaller to those I interact with the most..

        1. We only have 1 tree so hopefully next year we will get plenty. It had about 4 on it this year but not to eat. We basically got it as a stick and planted it from there. Shocking how well it did, but now it’s indoors for the winter.

    1. You’re welcome my dear. It’s like that old saying.. you rub my back and I’ll rub yours… lol.. The blog is alot of work, the more the year has went on and the busier it gets. One thing is for sure.. I’ll always remember the people who are new and help them like they help me. There’s nothing more that get’s my gears grinding (femme frugality) lol.. is when sites get big and think their caca don’t stink and they are much too big or too good to hang with the smaller peeps.. keep on smilin darlin, we can all feel your energy. 1. I followed you on FB before, but I deleted my account after they started posting old private messages on people’s walls. I’d be excited about the new Follow Fridays, otherwise, though!

Thank you so much for the mentions! Hope the skies clear up soon!

  2. Thanks for the mention and thanks again for the guest post opportunity πŸ™‚ Those cookies look so yummy, my favorite! Chocolate chips are outrageously expensive, I do a lot of baking and they’ve gone up quite a bit in the last few years. I’m asking for a costco size bag of chocolate chips for Christmas…the gift that keeps on giving!

    1. We bought a boat load of chipits at the dollar store but used them all for baking. You know we found Bakers Chocolate squares at Dollarama for $2 last week which is an amazing price. Chipis can get so pricey though. The Cowboy quickies are awesome but those butterscotch chipits make the flavour pop. Cheers and thanks for being part of the CBB family!! Mr.CBB

  3. Thanks for the mentions Mr. CBB! Can I say that those cookies look mighty good. I might have to ask my wife to make some now. πŸ™‚ Pumpkin crving is easy, but does take a few times to get it down. I, personally, can’t stand it…so my wife get’s the pleasure. Have a great weekend!

    1. They are so good John. A few of my fans made them and posted pictures.. this is where the name of my contests come from “QUICKIE” it was a typo I made one night and then the Quickie contest and cookies were born.. all the ladies know at FB.. lol.. My brownies are pretty darn good as well.. got some fans posting pics of them as well… love those fans.. they treat me well! Cheers John and thanks again. Drop in to say hi, let them know you!
