Cream of Asparagus Soup with Asiago Cheese (Low-Carb) (Gluten-Free)

MAKING A POT OF HOMEMADE ASPARAGUS SOUP DOESN’T GET ANY EASIER.   Although we enjoy broth and tomato based soups another famous soup we make in the CBB kitchen is our Cream of Asparagus Soup. Not only is it low-carb and gluten-free it’s extremely easy to make, budget-friendly and brings home the flavours of Ontario produce when available. During early-mid June if you love to forage you can find wild organic asparagus growing in ditches around farmers fields preferably that grow and sell asparagus. Mrs. CBB grew up with her dad who loves to forage still to this day. Over the years since she was a small child she’s foraged for wild asparagus, wild mushrooms, wild berries and plenty of other free wild edibles. I’ve been introduced to the foraging life quite a few times and it’s amazing what grows and is hidden in the forests, ditches and tall grasses. Low Carb Meatballs In Tomato Sauce

Yum, Meatballs-LOW CARB FOOD ISN’T JUST FOR LOW CARB FOODIES   We’ve been using our crockpot quite a bit over the years because it’s convenient with our busy schedules. Making big batches of low carb meatballs and freezing them helps us when we want a comfort food meal. Whether we fry, bake or simmer our low carb meatballs on the stove they taste just as delicious as the slow cooker process. I always like to cook food that both Mrs. CBB and I can enjoy together so I compromise and honestly I haven’t tasted a bad recipe yet (although I’m not a fan of flax-seed breakfast cereal). When we host a dinner party I might make crockpot appetizer meatballs but replacing our traditional recipe with our low carb version and nobody notices. The carbohydrates in meatballs typically come from the breadcrumbs. If you want to replace high carb breadcrumbs opt for fine crushed pork rinds or flax-seed like we chose for these low carb meatballs. Crunchy Pan-Fried Parmesan Crusted Hard-Boiled Eggs (Low-Carb) (Gluten-Free)

HARD-BOILED EGGS LIKE YOU’VE NEVER TASTED BEFORE   YES you have to try this. These are perfect snacks for holidays, birthday’s or any celebrating including Super Bowl where you just want to grab, dip and get it in your tummy. In our house we don’t just hard boil one or two eggs at a time. We make hard-boiled eggs by the dozen and use them for egg salad sandwiches, snacks and now we will add this to our low carb snacks list.
