British Sausage Rolls
If you are looking for savoury finger food for the holidays or any gathering these sausage rolls are delicious, easy to make and freeze well. The best part is they won't bust your budget and look like you put lots of effort into them.

  • 1 packet sausage meat
  • 1 teaspoon paprika
  • 1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • ½ teaspoon salt
  • 1 packet of Tenderflake puff pastry or homemade pastry
  • 1 cup real bacon bits (fry up some bacon ½lb and break into bits)
  • ¼ cup milk or 1 egg whisked for glaze
  1. Mix together the sausage meat, spices, and salt until they are well combined
  2. Cook bacon and break into bits
  3. Add bacon to mixture and stir well
  4. Roll out puff pastry until about 1inch thick
  5. Place half of the mixture into the centre of the pastry and spread out slightly
  6. Glaze the outer rim of the pastry with milk then roll up the pastry
  7. Repeat for the other half of the pastry
  8. Cut into size required. Glaze with either egg or milk
  9. Place in the oven.
  10. Once cooked either serve immediately or let them cool.
