Extra Juicy Chicken Avocado Burger (Low-Carb)

These are Chicken Avocado Burgers which may sound unique but when you are on a low-carb diet all creations become special such as this one. What I love about this Chicken Avocado Burger is that it has tonnes of flavour but most of all it's super juicy and not dry.

Serves: 4
  • 1lb Chicken Mince
  • 2 tbsps tomato puree
  • 2 cloves of garlic minced
  • 1 ripe large avocado cut into chunks
  • 1 cup of freshly grated Parmigiano Reggiano Cheese or Grana Padana
  • 1 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 jalapeno (seeded)
  • 2 tablespoons hemp hearts or Almond Meal
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • Butter for basting and water for moisture
  1. Toss everything into a bowl and mix
  2. Form into 4 burger patties
  3. Refrigerate for 5-10 minutes
  4. Heat your grill to a high temp 230 degrees
  5. Using a spatula add burgers to the grill
  6. Top with a knob of butter on each
  7. Put lid on grill for 4-5 minutes
  8. Open lid add a couple of tablespoons of cold water and put lid back on for a minute or 2 then flip
  9. Repeat on the flip side but lower temp to 200 degrees
  10. Once done let the burger set for a couple of minutes so the flavours come together
  11. Serve on lettuce or on a low-carb bun or waffle
