Recipe type: Dessert
Cuisine: Cookies
Serves: 9
  • 1 large banana
  • 1 cup of large flake rolled oats (not instant oats)
  • ½ cup chocolate chips semi-sweet
  • Optional: Coconut, raisins, sunflower seeds, chopped nuts, chia seeds, hemp hearts, all-natural peanut butter. See notes in post above.
  1. Mush your banana in a bowl, stir in the oatmeal and chocolate chips and combine
  2. With a melon ball scoop form small balls and then round cookies and place on a silpat that is on a non-stick baking sheet or a spray a non-stick baking sheet before baking.
  3. The cookies won't spread unless you add butter but keep them spaced apart if you can. This recipe makes 9 cookies and bakes at 320 degrees for 7-10 minutes.
  4. Always check as oven temps differ. If the bottom is lightly brown they are done.
  5. That's it.... how fast was that!
  6. You can add food colouring like I did to convey orange pumpkins for Halloween.
