Just don't dream about Swirled Nutella Banana Bread, make it. The secret to moist banana bread is revealed in my recipe today.

  • 4 large defrosted frozen bananas
  • 1 cup Nutella
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup unsalted butter
  • ⅓ cup warm water (I used kettle warm water)
  • 1 tablespoon baking soda
  • ¾ cup milk chocolate or semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour one cup for every banana
  • 1 tablespoon milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1½ cups of sugar
  • Nutella Banana Liquid Gold Simple Syrup
  • All the Banana Juice 1 cup minimum
  • ¾ cup cold water
  • 2 tablespoons of Nutella
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract or even a few drops of banana extract
  1. Pre-heat oven 350 degrees
  2. Grease or spray 2 standard size loaf pans
  3. In a bowl mix the butter, eggs, sugar, vanilla extract and the milk
  4. In a large mixing bowl separate the bananas from the banana juice (put this in a small pot on the stove-top)
  5. Mash the bananas and add them to the mixing bowl
  6. Mix the warm water with the baking soda and add that to the mixing bowl
  7. Add your chocolate chips and mix
  8. In a microwave-safe bowl add 1 cup of Nutella and soften for about 10-12 seconds
  9. Drizzle half the soft Nutella down the center of each loaf
  10. Using a butter knife create wings by pushing your knife from the center out towards the ridge of the pan.
  11. Nutella Banana Syrup Instructions
  12. In the pot that you added your banana juice add the water, vanilla extract and Nutella then reduce on med/high until reduced a bit. Not much all you want is to combine the ingredients together. Have a taste. If you want to add more Nutella flavour that's up to you. Keep warm on stove until Banana loaf comes out from the oven. You need at least 2 cups of banana syrup.
  13. Bake the Nutella Banana Bread for 52 minutes at 350 degrees or until done
  14. Remove from oven and poke holes all around the top of the cake with a skewer
  15. Pour half the Nutella Banana Syrup mixture over each Nutella Banana Loaf and let soak until the cake is completely cooled.
  16. Remove cakes from pan and serve with your beverage of choice.
