The Best Canadian Grocery Stores To Shop At : The Grocery Game Challenge 2016 #2 Mar 14-20

THE TOP GROCERY STORES IN CANADA ARE IN YOUR NEIGHBOURHOOD   There are so many Canadian Grocery Stores that it can get a bit confusing trying to figure out where to shop to get quality products while saving money to stretch those grocery dollars. Then there are shoppers who don’t care about saving money because they are committed to shopping at one grocery store even if they have to pay more money for products they can pay less for somewhere else. Related: Are you a grocery store snob? When I first moved to Canada 8 years ago I had no idea about Canadian Grocery Stores let alone where to begin shopping. Grocery store prices differ from shop to shop and with that comes differences in product quality and availability. Depending on where you live in Canada you may be blessed with local markets like the St. Lawrence Market in Toronto or St. Jacobs Farmers Market in St. Jacobs. Just about every nationality has a market/shop that sells products from the homeland especially in Toronto which is great to buy hard to find products for new recipes. How to find Love at the Grocery Store: The Grocery Game Challenge #5 Mar 30-Apr 5, 2015

LIVE, LAUGH, LOVE AND GROCERY SHOP   If you have a love affair with the grocery store and are single, I’m going to tell you how to find love while roaming the food aisles. Most people are looking in all the wrong places for love and doing the deed isn’t going to be your fast-track way to the alter either. There’s more to finding love than what happens in the bedroom. In one sense we are conditioned from the time we are in University and College that the bar scene is where people hook up because that’s where students go to unwind and have fun. It’s time to think outside of the clubs because there are more places to find […]

PF Weekly Grab a brew #30 : Handling a product concern responsibly

We All Make Mistakes Someone messed with the chicken breasts at Safeway in Phoenix, Arizona and it’s causing a big stir on the web. I don’t shop at Safeway since we don’t have that grocery store in Ontario but if I had a product concern at any store the first thing I would do would be to bring it to the attention of a store clerk or manager. I can’t believe how so many people are taking to social media as their first line of defense when they are not happy about something but before they contact the appropriate people in a responsible manner. As consumers we expect excellent customer service but we should also do our part to help out if we see a problem, at least that’s what we do. We all make mistakes and when I read how one Twitter user named Lindsey tweeted a photo of chicken breasts with a chicken foot clearly in view to say,“Does this look like chicken breast to you? I’m vomiting” in a tweet to Safeway,  I was a bit stunned. It really made me stop and wonder if we are going to corrupt ourselves and society with everything we’ve got […]
