Simple Homemade Easter Treats For Everyone

You will wonder where this Mars Bar Rice Krispies Easter Treat has been all your life once you make it.

Growing up, my husband and I distinctly remember our moms making this recipe for us every Easter.

Easter Bunny Shortbread cookies and Easter Chick Tarts were a hit, and these chocolate bundles of heaven made us kids smile.

Now that we have our kids, I keep the tradition of making classic treats that bring back childhood memories and an Easter Egg Hunt.

Mars Canada Is More Than Just A Chocolate Factory

Did you know…

Mars Canada was leading the way for confectionery and Food and Pet Food and was founded in 1940 with our Canadian Headquarters located in Bolton, Ontario, Canada.

In 2005 revenue for Mars Canada hit 18 Billion Dollars, and they employed 39,000 employees.

The Mars portfolio has five of the world’s leading confectionery brands, including the Mars Bar, Snickers Bar, Skittles and Twix Cookie Bars, and the world’s single largest candy brand, M&M’s Chocolate Candies.

In Canada, when you make Rice Krispie squares, you add marshmallows, but in Scotland, we use chocolate.

If my mum made these for a colossal treat or birthday party, she would add loads of Mars Bars.

Easy Treats Easter Recipe For Kids

Any chocolate Easter treats will sell if you’re hosting an Easter party or your child’s school has a bake sale.

I’ve made them many times for our kids, and they ask for this recipe every year.

Along with making Easter treats, we also create Easter crafts (blowing out Eggs, decorating, then varnishing them) together as a family.

I love involving the kids so that one day, they do the same for their own.

Four Ingredients For This Spectacular Easter Recipe

This Easter treat recipe has only four ingredients, which may be a pantry staple, except maybe the chocolate bars.

Like most people, if I stocked any chocolate bars in my pantry, they would be gone every week.

If you have a leftover chocolate Easter bunny, you could also use that chocolate to make this recipe.

I like to chop them up into bits or freeze them whole, so when I want to use them, I just let them come to room temperature and chop.

How To Make Mars Bars, Rice Krispies, Easter Treats

For this Easter recipe, you will need the following:

This is a beautiful Easter presentation with only a few ingredients, and you can jazz it up by adding a plush Easter Bunny to the treat table. (see picture above)

I buy my Mars bars at the dollar store since I can get four mini bars for $1 or $1 each.

If you have a dollar store nearby, consider getting your chocolate bars there rather than at the grocery store or corner shop.

How To Make Mars Bars, Rice Krispies, Easter Treats

I will press my Mars Bar Rice Krispies into muffin tins, let them cool, and then make them into baskets for Easter treats.

Inside will be toasted coconut, but you don’t have to use it if you’re not a fan. I’ve just done this to create a nest, but not everyone likes coconut.

It will be just as delicious without the coconut nest.

  1. How many Mars bars do you have to buy to ensure you have enough to make the recipe? I would estimate a 50% sneak eat rate of before any recipe was started.
