Copycat Starbucks Strawberry Acai Pink Drink Keto Style

YOUR GO-TO SUMMER PINK DRINK LOW ON THE CARBS AND SUGAR-FREE   When Mrs. CBB made her way to Starbucks on the way home from a recent trip she decided to try their popular pink drink known as the Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refresher but keto style. In all honesty she had no idea what she was about to order but the barista was very helpful and together they created a sugar-free Passion-Fruit Strawberry Pink Drink made with coconut milk. Now that the warm weather is officially here we thought no better way to celebrate than to make the expensive grande $6.20 Starbucks Pink Drink at home. This will obviously be a huge savings to the Starbucks Pink Drink lover and for anyone who wants to control the amount of sugar and carbs they are getting in their diet. Before we started our keto pink drink we put our large fancy glasses in the freezer to frost them up. Nothing better than a cold, frosty drink in a frosty mug. Right? Ingredients for Strawberry Acai Starbucks Refresher (these are the original ingredients) Ice, Strawberry Acai Base [Water, Sugar, White Grape Juice Concentrate, Natural Flavors, Citric Acid, Natural Green Coffee Flavor, Fruit […]

Homemade Lemonade

FRESHLY SQUEEZED LEMONS…   If you are a lemon lover like myself this homemade lemonade recipe is a must try for you. Nothing beats the taste of fresh lemonade. Homemade lemonade is not only simple to make but you get to control the amount of sweetness without and added preservatives or additives to the mix. Growing up your children might ask you if they can have a lemonade stand out front the house and I know Mr.CBB has mentioned that he has seen many kids with a lemonade stand at garage sales. It’s a great way for parents to be around to monitor their kids as they become their own bosses while the parents sell stuff they no longer need. It was my daughter’s birthday this week and if you follow me on Facebook you will know that I made her a princess dress cupcake. It worked out beautifully as she really wanted cupcakes for her birthday along with my fresh homemade lemonade. I can assure you I’m not a lemonade tycoon but I do enjoy making as much as I can at home rather than buying it pre-made.   Making lemonade   There are not many ingredients that go […]

Greek yogurt stuffed cherry berry smoothie

Healthy Smoothie Recipe With A Burst Of Fruit    I know what you are thinking, who stuffs a smoothie with Greek yogurt? I know because I had the same thought, until I tried it. Smoothies are a great way to cool down in the summer time whether you are with friends or simply enjoying a nice afternoon by yourself. Typically my smoothie is made up of fruits and sometimes vegetables but today I’ve used raspberries from the garden, organic cherries and bananas to bring this cherry berry smoothie creation to life. I wanted a healthy smoothie recipe that I could use the flax seeds that we got for free with the scanning code of practice (thanks Zehrs) since that is originally why we went looking for it. Our friends add the healthy flax to their breakfast smoothies to create a flax smoothie with cucumbers, kale and yogurt (no I’ve never tried that before). You don’t even taste the flax, in fact I added flax to my chickpea coconut chocolate chip cookies as well and we had no idea it was in there. Frozen fruit smoothie I often serve a smoothie that I make with a straw and a spoon as […]
