Keto Chicken Crust Pizza Without The Extra Carbs

You may think I’m going crazy but if you’re on a keto diet or just watching the carbs you have to try this Keto Chicken Crust Pizza.

Not only is is simple to make it tastes delicious too and is both low-carb and keto.

See, pizza for everyone!

As well, like any other homemade pizza you can add your favourite toppings to your keto chicken crust pizza.

That’s my favourite part and I’m sure you’ll get a laugh when you see or perhaps you might like what I chose.

One of my favourites is keto BBQ chicken pizza with a homemade pizza sauce.

Chicken For Keto Chicken Crust Pizza

We’ve tried both minced chicken and chicken from the can from Costco Canada and the can won.

The reason we found chicken in the can the best was because of the extra moisture in the ground chicken.

If you have no interest in chicken breast in a can you can pre-cook the ground mince and drain the oil out.

To make things quick and simple the keto chicken crust pizza we stuck with the can of chicken breast.

Making The Keto Chicken Crust Pizza Base

keto pizza crust

We added 2 eggs, 1/4 cup of parmesan cheese, 1 tbsp mayo, salt, pepper, Italian seasoning or any herbs or flavours you’d like in your crust.

Mix it all up in a bowl and drop it on parchment paper and then add another piece and work the chicken mixture into a circle.

I used a rolling pin to shape it into a circle or if you like a square pizza make a it a square.

Remove the parchment paper from the top and bake the chicken crust for 10 minutes at 350 degrees.

In the meantime you can start getting your keto pizza toppings ready along with your Italian pizza sauce.

The chicken crust should look golden brown but watch over it as it’s baking as all ovens are different.

Take the chicken crust out of the oven and let it sit for a few minutes.

Keto Chicken Crust Pizza Sauce

red sauce pizza

I used a keto bechamel sauce to go with peperoni and lots of mozzarella cheese.

A simple Italian red pizza sauce uses water, tomato paste, Italian seasonings and extra virgin olive oil.

You’ll find the recipe for pizza sauce in the printable recipe below which Mrs. CBB and our son used on their pizza.

How To Make Keto Bechamel Sauce For Your Keto Pizza

For the keto bechamel type sauce was add 3 tablespoons of butter, 1 tbsp of Italian herbs, salt, 1/4 tsp ground nutmeg, 2 cups of whipping cream, 1/4 cup parmesan,1 tsp of xanthan gum, 2 tablespoons almond flour.

Mix it all into a pot and cook on medium until it’s a thick Keto bechamel sauce.

You can also use a basic red pizza sauce, herbed pizza sauce or Italian pasta sauce, mozzarella cheese and your favourite toppings.

You’ll find the recipe for my Italian pizza sauce in the printable recipe below.

Both Mrs. CBB and our son used the Italian pizza sauce on their pizza.

Toppings For Your Keto Chicken Crust Pizza

If you guessed my crazy pizza topping would be dill pickle slices you were right.

I loved the acidic taste it gave with the salami, mozzarella and sauce.

Keto pizza toppings are fairly simple for this keto pizza recipe as there are so many available.

Making pizza at our house is fun because all 3 of us get to choose our toppings.

We make the pizzas as a family and I don’t know many kids who doesn’t love pizza.

Some of our favourite toppings for this keto pizza are:

  • Green pepper
  • Dill pickles
  • Broccoli
  • Carrots
  • Mushrooms
  • Green olives
  • black olives
  • Ham
  • Meatballs
  • Salami
  • Capicolla
  • Kalamata olives
  • Onions
  • Prosciutto
  • Parmesan cheese
  • Bacon
  • Red pepper
  • BBQ chicken
  • Slices of steak
  • Pepperoni

Basically, you can add any of your favourite keto ingredients to top your keto chicken crust pizza.

Here is a full list of popular pizza toppings if you’re looking for other topping ideas.

Add your shredded mozzarella first then add the toppings over the cheese.

Avoid buying cheese that is already shredded as the manufacturer adds starches to it.

Buying a full block of mozzarella cheese at Costco is only $22.

Check out my full Keto Canada Food List with Photos to see what I’m talking about.

The net carbs for your pizza will differ based on what toppings you use.

A Keto Chicken Crust Pizza with pepperoni and cheese comes in at 2 net carbs for the entire pizza.
