Review Too Good To Go App Canada
I’ve wanted to review the Too Good To Go App for a while now because it’s, in one word, amazing.
Cofounders of the app, Lucie Basch and Jamie Crummie, launched the Too Good To Go App U.K. in 2016.
According to a Forbes article, the app has been a great success, growing to over 7 million users who buy reduced-priced unsold meals that would have otherwise gone to waste.
Over 15,000 food establishments worldwide participate in the Too Good To Go program.
I advocate for eliminating food waste in Canada, so we use the FlashFood and the Too Good To Go Apps.
There’s no fee for you or affiliate marketing from me; it’s just my honest opinion.

Types Of Food Offerings On To Good To Go

The products in the surprise bags from the Too Good To Go app will contain an assortment of the type of bag you choose.
For example, a dairy bag may contain yogurts, cheese, milk, and other dairy products based on the company you are purchasing from.
Pizza Pizza surprise bags may offer 3 to 4 slices of pizza, salad, wings, or French fries, which the store has left at the end of the day. Reg costs $18.00, but you get the bag for $5.99.
It’s not bad for a meal that will likely feed two people.
Every business is different and has pre-made offerings unique to what it prepares or sells.
If you have allergies, you’ll need to ask the store before purchasing anything on the app. Otherwise, it’s not stated.
Since the food products in the bags are a surprise, you never know what you’ll get inside.
I kind of like the element of surprise.
Plus, it’s a great way to experience different restaurants in your city that you’d otherwise not visit because the prices don’t fit your entertainment budget.

The Too Good To Go bags may be close to or on the “best before” date, prepared in error, or delicious food the store offers at the end of the day.

Tim Hortons offers a surprise bag worth $15.00 but only charges $4.99.
You may find surplus baked goods, such as donuts, Timbits, Cookies, muffins, and bagels, inside the bag. Pretty good if you ask me!
When Mrs. CBB and her friend were at a concert in downtown Toronto, they used the app and picked up Tim Hortons.
In the surprise bag were two bowls of chili, buns, and three donuts for $4.99.
It worked out perfectly for them and cut down on their night out on the town expenses.
They did take a chance, knowing that they could have received a box of donuts for dinner, but they didn’t care.
Prices for surprise bags vary by business, but I’ll list some standard prices below.

In this instance, Mrs. CBB will share her feedback on her experience with you.
Cons
- You don’t know what you’re paying for in the surprise bag.
- The window pickup time varies, with many being at the end of the day.
- Check the app often to score a deal because you might miss out.
- No delivery, which is fine, but for those who don’t drive, it may deter them.
Pros
- The element of surprise is also a pro, but only if you like not knowing.
- A variety of Canadian businesses participating in the program is widespread.
- Reduced costs when eating out or spending less on groceries.
Take A Date Or A Mate
Overall, people told us we needed to splurge and have an entertainment budget.
We now have one, and my readers were right.
Even if Mrs. CBB and I pick up a Too Good To Go bag, we can save money and enjoy a date at the same time.
Nothing stops us from having a date at home or eating on a picnic table at the park or beach in the summer.
For the single person who is busy or not interested in cooking, this is an excellent option if you stick to restaurant food.
Check out the Too Good To Go App online or at the Apple Store or Google Play Store.
