I know today is supposed to be The Grocery Game Challenge, but SURPRISE, I’m bumping that post to tomorrow.

I just wanted to take a moment today to thank all of you who read Canadian Budget Binder.

I put much effort into making this a fun, informative environment where we all learn from each other’s successes and defeats.

Canadian Budget Binder will be coming up for its first anniversary soon, and I’m thrilled to see how fast we continue to grow.

I wanted to do something special, so if you don’t already know, the blog will be going through a re-design for the new year.

I want to continue to champion this site to grow, and it’s with your help that I can make this happen.

Budgeting

With 2013 just around the corner, now is the time to start setting financial goals and look at areas where you can make changes in your budget.

If you are not using a budget and want to, 2013 is a great starting point. You can read my budgeting series 1-10, which details how Mrs.CBB and I designed and used our budget.

Grocery Budget

If you want to work on lowering your grocery budget and if I can motivate you to post your grocery shop with us each week, I’m doing it now.

It’s super easy, and you can track your shops all year.

All of us who post our shops help each other with suggestions and ways to save, whether coupons, flyer specials, frugal recipes, or more.

I’ve updated the rules to the grocery game challenge to include some new figures we wanted to track all year. Have a peek and let me know what you think.

  7. Merry Christmas to you and the Mrs!!!!!! Hope you had a great day!!1 Ours was super busy but I loved it… I got lots of little boy hugs and kisses from the grandson!!! Dad and my Uncle had themselves a feast of food that they haven’t had since last Christmas when they were here…..And the weather was good for driving! All the best to you and yours!!
