Night Sweats And Pre-Menopause
When I was approached to test the cooling blanket, Mrs. CBB was thrilled.
We were both hesitant that this blanket would be cool and was just a gimmick.
It’s just a blanket, right? Well, we were wrong.
Are you suffering from night sweats?
Mrs. CBB, who takes various medications and is pre-menopausal, experiences night sweats.
She will wake up in the middle of the night, and the sheets will be wet.
Luckily we have mattress covers, but the sensation of waking up soaked is, in her words, “unbearable.”
She’s tried a prescription to reduce night sweats which temporarily worked.
Now she lays a towel down at night just to be safe, although it’s not every night she sweats.
She also uses a night fan on the side of the bed to help cool her down and create white noise to help her fall into a deep sleep.
Since testing the cooling blanket, she wants me to buy one just for her bedside.
She steals the sheets at night and can’t help herself, so I’m happy to oblige.
Typically, I have little to no covers (haha), but I heat up fast, so the cool air is welcoming.
After testing the blanket, I think it’s perfect for anyone who wants the cool-down effect.
Although I reduce the temperature overnight in the house to cool it down, the blanket is a bonus.

Sensory Cooling Blanket
We have the king-size Elegear Cooling Blanket to fit our entire bed at night, and it’s easy to tuck in for added comfort.
When I removed it from the box, the texture reminded me of our son’s sensory stretchable body sock.
He uses the body sock to regulate his body when he feels a loss of control, which works great.
Our son has ADHD, ASD, and SPD – Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and Sensory Processing Disorder.
In the winter, he uses a weighted blanket for compression, which helps him sleep.
Throughout the warm weather months in Ontario, the weighted blanket gets too hot for him.
He loves the cooling blanket as it’s relaxing and feels lovely on his skin after he showers.
That’s a review from our little guy who struggles to express himself at the best times.
The significant part for him is that it is dual-sided, and although he likes his weighted blanket in the winter, he might replace it with a cooling blanket.
